Full job description

Traxtion Transport is currently seeking Federal Owner Operators and contractors for last mile frac operations. We are looking for partners that can maintain the standard that we have built our organization on. This high-paste and challenging field is demanding, requiring commitment and the ability to adjust and flow with the projects.

The workload will be based throughout Alberta and northeastern BC. Traxtion transport has a sizeable fleet of B-Train hopper bottom trailers that successful candidates will be running. If you own your own equipment you may apply, note that equipment inspections by our operations team will need to be performed before onboarding.

Candidate requirements:

  • Follow all legislation compliance requirements Ie. Hours of service, Pre and post trip inspections, maintain safe and well running equipment.
  • Maintain the HSE and operational standards that Traxtion Transport has built its organization upon.
  • You must be able to navigate smart phone applications and other technology for a variety of tracking apps that are used with our customers as well as for Traxtion’s internal tracking requirements.
  • Candidates require a minimum 2 years of b-train or similar trailer configuration experience.
  • We require a minimum of 2 years of off-road driving experience, with a clear understanding of oil, gas, and logging road radio operation standards and etiquette.
  • It is required that you keep your unit in good working order and must follow both Traxtion policies and legislation regulations for safe operating units.
  • Collaborate with operation team members to optimize utilization and enhance operational efficiency, flexibility on routing and planning is a requirement.
  • Able to work in shifts, Nights, Days, Mid. All operators will be required to be fit and able to work in a shift schedule.
  • Must be able to do a pre-access drug and alcohol test within 30 days of hiring for all drivers.

o Must have the ability to fully chain up a tandem tractor with two sets of triples and a steer (8mm chain).

  • H2S Alive energy safety Canada certificate (H2s awareness is not sufficient)
  • Standard First Aid with CPR
  • ODA Oilfield energy safety Canada driver training
  • CSO (Common Safety Orientation)
  • Wildlife Awareness
  • Mask Fit Test that adheres to Traxtion transports silica policy
  • TDG/WHMIS/GHS
  • Cargo Securement
  • Hours of Service
  • Fatigue management
  • Weights and Dimensions
  • Online Client Orientations (when required)
