Job Summary

We are a growing residential home builder looking for an experienced and hands-on SiteSupervisor to join our team. The Site Supervisor will oversee the day-to-day construction of new homes, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to our high standards of quality.

As a key leader in the field, the Site Supervisor will also be responsible for building, leading, and developing a strong site team. This includes setting clear expectations, coaching team members, fostering accountability, and creating a positive and collaborative site culture.

Responsibilities

Site & Construction Management

  • Take ownership of the construction process from start to homeowner possession.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site and ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate and manage trades, suppliers, deliveries, inspections, and site activities.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules and proactively address potential delays.
  • Monitor workmanship and ensure homes are built according to approved plans, specifications, building codes, and company quality standards.
  • Conduct regular quality-control inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly.
  • Monitor construction costs, minimize rework and material waste, and identify potential budget concerns early.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with trades and hold them accountable for safety, schedule, quality, and cleanliness.

Site Team Leadership and Development

  • Lead, coach, and support site team members to ensure they have the knowledge, tools, and direction required to be successful.
  • Establish clear expectations for safety, quality, productivity, customer service, and professional conduct.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and accountable team environment where people are encouraged to take ownership of their work.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to help team members develop their skills and capabilities.
  • Identify training and development opportunities and work with management to support team growth.
  • Recognize strong performance and address performance concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Delegate responsibilities effectively while maintaining appropriate oversight and accountability.
  • Encourage collaboration, communication, and problem-solving across the site team and construction partners.
  • Lead by example and demonstrate the company’s values and standards in all interactions.
  • Support the development of future leaders within the construction team.

Communication & Customer Experience

  • Maintain accurate construction records, schedules, inspections, and deficiency lists.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding project progress, challenges, costs, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with Sales and Customer Care to ensure homeowners receive positive and professional experience.
  • Participate in homeowner walkthroughs, orientations, and pre-possession inspections as required.
  • Address homeowner concerns professionally and work collaboratively to resolve issues.
  • Represent the company professionally and take pride in delivering a high-quality finished home.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of residential construction experience, preferably with a new home builder.
  • Previous experience as a Site Supervisor, Construction Supervisor, Foreperson, or similar role.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or developing employees and/or site teams.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction processes, building practices, and applicable codes.
  • Proven ability to manage construction schedules and multiple trades.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Good understanding of construction costs and budget management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, make decisions, and take ownership.
  • Strong customer-service mindset and professional communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license
