Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented HSE Administrator to join our team in Fort McMurray. This role is responsible for supporting the organization’s health, safety, and environmental programs by maintaining compliance records, coordinating safety training, and assisting with incident reporting and investigations. The HSE Administrator plays a key role in ensuring safety policies and procedures are effectively communicated and adhered to across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, audits, and incident reports.
  • Organize and maintain efficient filing systems for:

o Safety personnel files

o Toolbox talks/sign-on sheets

o FLRA documentation

o Equipment and vehicle inspections

  • Schedule and track employee safety training and certifications.
  • Prepare new hire packages and handouts (including printing and laminating).
  • Support onboarding processes by delivering safety orientations as required.
  • Coordinate safety committee meetings and maintain meeting minutes.
  • Enter Supervisor Observation System (SOS) data into IMS.
  • Assist in developing safety awareness materials and communications.
  • Monitor and update safety policies and procedures as needed.
  • Support emergency preparedness planning and drills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education in OH&S or related field is an asset.
  • OSSA BSO or Energy Safety Canada CSO certification.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and standards (OH&S, WHMIS, etc.).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to maintain filing systems and basic databases.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and interpret direction with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a dynamic work environment.
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a strong sense of initiative.

Pay: $77,000.00-$82,000.00 per year
