  • Measure, cut, shape, and fit wood and other forming materials accurately
  • Lay out walls, tie spacing, footings, foundations, and structural components
  • Build and position forms for walls, slabs, beams, columns, and tilt-up panels
  • Install bracing, ties, hardware, and reinforcement supports
  • Ensure formwork is square, level, aligned, secure, and ready for concrete placement
  • Safely strip forms after concrete has cured
  • Clean, organize, and store reusable formwork materials
  • Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Mentor Apprentice Carpenters and assist with developing crew skills
  • Communicate with supervisors and teammates to resolve jobsite challenges
  • Follow all company and site-specific safety requirements

Qualifications

  • At least three years of professional carpentry experience required; four or more years preferred.
  • Concrete formwork experience is preferred but not required
  • Ability to read construction drawings and use measuring tools accurately
  • Comfortable using common hand and power tools
  • Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position, including lifting and carrying materials, frequent standing, bending, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Dependable, punctual, safety-conscious, and ready to contribute every day
  • Willingness to learn new forming systems and follow company methods
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to assigned job sites are required because some project locations may not be accessible by public transit.
  • Red Seal certification or formal schooling is welcome but not required

Pay and Benefits

  • Full-time, permanent position, averaging 40 hours per week
  • Pay: CA$38.00-$50.00 per hour, based on experience and demonstrated ability
  • Overtime opportunities with overtime pay in accordance with applicable employment standards.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage for eligible full-time employees and dependants
  • Paid Time Off
  • Paid statutory holidays and five paid sick days per year
  • Training, professional development, and certification support
  • Annual performance and wage reviews
  • Opportunities to mentor others and advance into leadership
