Medovino Imports is a national wine agency headquartered in Port Credit, Ontario, representing premium wineries from some of the world's most respected wine regions. Our portfolio is available through provincial liquor boards, restaurants, hotels, private clubs, and select retail partners across Canada.

We are currently seeking an experienced Sales Representative to manage and grow our business throughout the GTA.

Position Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for growing sales within an established territory while actively developing new business. This position is ideal for a highly motivated sales professional with a proven track record in the wine industry who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and representing premium wines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Grow sales throughout the GTA.
  • Manage and develop an existing customer base.
  • Prospect and secure new licensed accounts.
  • Build relationships with restaurant owners, beverage managers, sommeliers, hotels, golf clubs, private clubs, and hospitality groups.
  • Conduct professional wine tastings, staff training, and product presentations.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual sales objectives.
  • Attend portfolio tastings, trade shows, supplier visits, and industry events.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and territory activity.

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of successful outside wine sales experience.
  • Current or previous experience working for a wine agency.
  • Existing relationships within the GTA hospitality industry are considered a significant asset.
  • Formal wine education is mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of international wine regions, grape varieties, winemaking, food pairing, and wine service.
  • Demonstrated success developing new business and maintaining long-term customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Professional appearance and excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Valid Ontario driver's licence.
  • Reliable vehicle for daily travel throughout the territory.
  • Ability to lift and transport wine samples (up to 40 lbs).
  • Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for customer events and wine tastings.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary + commission or 100% commission - designed for experienced sales professionals who are motivated by performance and unlimited earning potential.
