Create One of Canada’s Most Exciting Luxury Wine Programmes

A rare opportunity has arisen to join an emerging luxury hospitality collection that is redefining destination hospitality in one of Ontario’s most picturesque communities.

We are seeking an accomplished Sommelier / Wine Director to lead the vision, development and delivery of an exceptional wine programme across a collection of luxury hospitality venues.

This is an opportunity to help build something truly distinctive from the ground up, working alongside passionate owners and an ambitious culinary team committed to creating one of Canada’s premier luxury hospitality destinations.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for shaping every aspect of the group’s wine programme, from cellar development and purchasing to guest experiences and food pairing.

Working closely with the Executive Chef and senior leadership, you will create memorable experiences for discerning guests through exceptional service, thoughtful recommendations and genuine hospitality.

The role includes:

  • Curating and overseeing wine programmes across multiple hospitality venues.
  • Building and managing an exceptional wine cellar.
  • Developing seasonal wine lists and food pairing programmes.
  • Hosting private tastings and bespoke guest experiences.
  • Leading curated wine dinners and intimate events.
  • Working alongside the culinary team to create world-class food and wine experiences.
  • Training and mentoring front-of-house teams in wine knowledge and service.
  • Building relationships with leading wineries, importers and producers.
  • Ensuring every guest receives a truly memorable wine experience.

Who We’re Looking For

We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional who combines exceptional wine knowledge with genuine warmth and outstanding guest engagement.

You will likely bring:

  • Sommelier experience within luxury hospitality, Michelin-starred or fine dining environments.
  • Recognised wine qualifications (CMS, WSET or equivalent preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of both Old and New World wines.
  • Experience building and managing premium wine programmes.
  • Confidence delivering tastings and engaging small groups of guests.
  • A natural ability to educate without intimidating.
  • Strong purchasing, inventory and cellar management experience.
  • A passion for creating personalised luxury guest experiences.
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial mindset and desire to help build a long-term legacy.
