Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Dietary Aide/Server, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly enhance the dining experience for residents in assisted living, nursing homes, or hospital settings. This vital role combines food service expertise with a caring approach, ensuring residents receive nutritious, delicious meals served with kindness and professionalism. You’ll play a key part in creating a warm, welcoming environment that promotes health, comfort, and dignity for those we serve.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences, ensuring timely delivery during scheduled mealtimes
  • Assist with food preparation tasks such as assembling trays, portioning food, and maintaining presentation standards
  • Handle food safely by following sanitation and hygiene protocols to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, kitchens, and food service equipment through regular cleaning and sanitation routines
  • Provide friendly, attentive customer service to residents by addressing their needs courteously and professionally during meal service
  • Support meal planning and setup by organizing utensils, napkins, and other dining essentials for efficient service
  • Follow all safety procedures related to food handling, storage, and sanitation to uphold high standards of health and safety

Requirements

  • Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
  • Strong customer service skills with a caring attitude towards residents or patients
  • Ability to manage time effectively to ensure meals are served promptly and efficiently
  • Experience with food handling, sanitation practices, and maintaining cleanliness in kitchen or dining areas
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and care team members
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks as needed
