Full job description

Vadapav Mirchi by Geeta is looking for a reliable, energetic, and detail-oriented team member to join our kitchen team.

Location: Vadapav Mirchi Cambie
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay: Based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook items at the Appy Station according to Vadapav Mirchi recipes and standards.
  • Ensure food is prepared accurately, consistently, and on time.
  • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation.
  • Prepare and organize takeout and delivery orders.
  • Carefully check every order against the POS/order ticket before handing it to the customer or delivery driver.
  • Pack food properly to prevent spills, damage, or missing items.
  • Ensure the correct sauces, chutneys, cutlery, napkins, and other required items are included.
  • Label and organize orders clearly.
  • Communicate with the kitchen and front-of-house team regarding order requirements and delays.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the Appy Station and packaging area.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Restock packaging materials and station supplies when required.
  • Assist other kitchen areas during busy periods as directed by the manager.
  • Help maintain a clean and efficient kitchen throughout the shift.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is an asset.
  • Experience with takeout, delivery, or food packaging is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
  • Ability to multitask during busy service periods.
  • Willingness to learn Vadapav Mirchi's recipes, procedures, and standards.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a busy kitchen environment.
