Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing exceptional customer service, a strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, and the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests. This role involves preparing and serving drinks, managing customer orders, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all patrons. Previous experience in food service and familiarity with POS systems are highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in hospitality, food safety, and cash handling within a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately according to standard recipes and customer preferences
  • Use POS systems such as Micros POS to process orders efficiently and accurately
  • Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Manage cash handling responsibilities, including processing payments and giving correct change
  • Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including glassware, utensils, and work surfaces in compliance with food safety standards
  • Restock bar supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
  • Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking and adherence to safety policies
  • Follow all food safety regulations related to food handling and beverage preparation
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service flow during busy hours

Skills

  • Proven experience in restaurant or food industry settings, particularly in serving or bartending roles
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cashiering duties
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests professionally and courteously
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, change calculation, and order management
  • Knowledge of food safety standards related to food handling and beverage preparation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation within a hospitality setting
  • Experience with serving alcohol responsibly and understanding of alcohol laws is preferred
