About Us:
Trio Pastry Café is a chic new bakery café bringing timeless French pastry craftsmanship to Main Street Unionville. We’re committed to high-quality, elegant bakes with a creative and seasonal edge — all served in a beautifully designed, modern space.

Position Overview:
We’re seeking an experienced  Pastry  Chef. You’ll design and execute our pastry program and run the daily business—overseeing production, service, staff, and profitability. This is a hands on leadership role perfect for a culinary professional ready to shape a brand from the ground up.

Responsibilities:

Pastry & Culinary Leadership

  • Design signature and seasonal menus—viennoiserie, entremets, plated desserts, and savoury bakes
  • Oversee all pastry production, ensuring flawless taste, texture, and presentation
  • Develop and document recipes, standard operating procedures, and qualitycontrol systems
  • Maintain best in class food safety and cleanliness standards
  • Source premium local and seasonal ingredients and cultivate supplier relationships

What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years professional pastry experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of classic French techniques (lamination, pâte à choux, entremets, glaces, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and team building skills; you coach not just direct.
  • Comfort working early mornings and managing peak period pace.
  • Food Handler/Safe Food Certification and familiarity with Ontario health regulations.
