Full job description

Kerr Street Cafe is looking for a new motivated team member for our dish area. We're a trendy cafe in the heart of Oakville's Kerr Village, serving brunch for over 10 years and catering the GTA/Muskoka for 20 years.

Full time position available, 3-5 shifts weekly, hours of operation are 8am-4pm, NO EVENING SHIFTS.

Position comes with a flexible schedule. Staff meal provided and tip share as well. Willing to pay more for experience, also willing to train as an entry level position.

Job description/duties:

  • Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
  • Works well with a team atmosphere and can communicate affectionately.
  • Sets up dish stations, including dishmachines and sinks.
  • Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
  • Properly washes, stacks, and stores glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
  • Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
  • Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trash cans and boxes at the end of each shift.
  • Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
  • Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef(s) as needed.
  • Reports to Chef, Sous Chef and Front Of House Managers

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
