Driver-Budtender (AGE 25+, FULL G, CLEAN DRIVING RECORD)

Highland Cannabis is a proudly independent 'Mom and Pop' shop and one of the busiest licensed Cannabis retail stores in the province... and we are now hiring a Driver- Budtender!

Please note: Cannabis dispensary experience required.

MUST have open availability weekends, weeknights and weekdays.

REQUIREMENTS
> Must be at least 25 years of age
> Must have a clean driving record
> Must have a full G license
> Must have experience working in a Legal, Licensed Cannabis Dispensary

Additional job perks include monthly bonuses that can increase pay by up to $2/hour additional, full benefits (100% paid by employer) for all employees working 25 hours/wk or more, staff discounts, and free educational product samples.

About The Role:

A Driver/Budtender delivers orders to customers homes in a compliant manner - following all the Ontario regulations for delivery - as well as working as a Budtender in the shop. Highland Cannabis provides the delivery vehicle

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

1) Deliveries, Sales, Customer Service and deliveries (90%):

  • Provide excellent customer service that maximizes customer happiness, whether interacting with the customer on a delivery to their home or in the shop.
  • Drive in a safe manner, delivering orders to customers homes in a timely fashion and in compliance with all provincial regulations and laws
  • Conduct regular vehicle inspections and notify management of any issues with the company delivery vehicle
  • Maintain the company vehicle in a clean and tidy state
  • Check government issued identification of customers upon arrival at their home or entry to the store
  • Greet customers throughout the day in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and educate them on responsible cannabis use
  • Troubleshoot customer issues with faulty products when returns or exchanges are required for delivery orders
  • Provide accurate and knowledgeable product information based on formal and informal ongoing learning.
  • Convert customer needs into sales, meeting and exceeding individual and company sales targets
  • Create an engaging and welcoming environment within the store and cultivate meaningful relationships through trust and rapport with our guests to drive return business.
  • Continually promote our brand and be a positive representative of the cannabis industry.
  • Support the upkeep and cleanliness of our space in a way that propels our brand and standard
  • Effectively utilize a cannabis compliant POS system and cash register
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs in all transactions, follow Highland process and procedures ensuring a safe and secure work environment.
  • Comply and maintain all required training and certifications required by Provincial and Federal law
  • Ensure that the sales floor is adequately stocked at all times

2) Research & Education(10%)

  • Share knowledge with fellow team members
  • Engage with customers to educate as needed
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and the industry landscape (which LP's own which brands, their growing methods, as well as the value propositions and differentiators of each Brand)
  • Research and stay abreast of latest legal Cannabis products

Qualifications and Requirements of a Budtender - Driver:

  • Full G license and clean driving record
  • Must be 25 years of age or older
  • Able to lift and carry 20 lbs
  • Sound knowledge of Cannabis plants and different strains of Cannabis
  • Successfully provide a criminal background check.
  • Knowledge of standards of Cannabis Retail stores set by AGCO.
  • Knowledge of Provincial and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to retail Cannabis
  • Able to work nights, holidays and weekends.
