Position Overview
The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club is seeking a motivated, organized, and hands-on Food & Beverage Manager to lead the Club's food and beverage operations at Ottawa Stadium.
The Food & Beverage Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of all food and beverage services, including concessions, premium suites, hospitality areas, and special events. This position plays a key role in delivering an exceptional fan experience while ensuring efficient operations, strong financial controls, and high standards of food quality and customer service.
The ideal candidate is a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and enjoys being involved in all aspects of an operation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in restaurants, hospitality, catering, or event food service who is ready to take the next step in their management career.

Food & Beverage Operations
  • Oversee all daily food and beverage operations across stadium concessions, premium suites, hospitality areas, and special events.
  • Lead the preparation, execution, and closing of food and beverage operations for all Titans home games and other stadium events.
  • Ensure all food service locations are properly staffed, stocked, equipped, and prepared to operate efficiently.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff and other departments to coordinate food preparation, service timelines, and event requirements.
  • Manage premium suite food and beverage services, including advance orders, fulfillment, and guest requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service efficiency, reduce wait times, and enhance the overall fan experience.
  • Maintain and improve operational procedures, process documentation, checklists, and service standards across all food and beverage areas.
Staff Management & Leadership
  • Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and supervision of 100+ seasonal food and beverage employees.
  • Build a positive, accountable, and service-oriented team culture.
  • Establish clear expectations for employee performance, professionalism, and customer service.
  • Manage staffing levels and labour allocation to meet operational demands
  • Coordinate staff timesheets, payroll information, and tip distribution in accordance with Club policies.
  • Address employee concerns and performance issues professionally and promptly.
Inventory, Purchasing & Financial Management
  • Manage inventory levels, product ordering, and supplier relationships across all food and beverage operations.
  • Establish and maintain inventory controls to minimize waste, spoilage, and product shortages.
  • Monitor food costs, labour costs, and other operating expenses to support departmental financial objectives.
  • Oversee point-of-sale systems, cash-handling procedures, and end-of-event financial reconciliation.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate inventory, sales, and operational reports.
  • Assist with departmental budgeting, forecasting, and identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and concession partners to ensure timely deliveries and operational readiness.
Guest Experience & Food Safety
  • Ensure consistent standards of food quality, presentation, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Respond to guest questions, email inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and solutions-oriented manner.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable food safety, sanitation, workplace health and safety, and alcohol service requirements.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe food preparation, storage, and service areas.
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance, repairs, and operational improvements as required.
Planning & Departmental Development
  • Coordinate preseason preparation, including staffing, training, equipment testing, inventory, and operational setup.
  • Collaborate with on menu development, pricing, promotions, and new food and beverage initiatives.
  • Work with other departments to coordinate group outings, premium hospitality experiences, theme nights, and special events.
  • Oversee postseason inventory reconciliation, equipment storage, facility shutdown, and operational reviews.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to departmental processes, service delivery, and future equipment upgrades and repairs.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Bilingual: French & English, preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in food and beverage, hospitality, restaurant operations, catering, or a similar environment.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading employees in a fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management, purchasing, labour scheduling, and cost control.
  • Comfortable using point-of-sale systems, spreadsheets, and other operational software.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and demonstrate accountability.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during the baseball season.
  • Canadian citizenship/residency or valid work permit

  • Excellent Guest Experience: Fans receive friendly, efficient service, with minimal wait times, consistent food quality, and guest concerns handled promptly.
  • Effective Cost Management: Inventory, labour, and purchasing are managed responsibly to minimize waste, control expenses, and support departmental profitability.
  • Organization & Preparation: Schedules, orders, equipment, and operational requirements are managed proactively, with few last-minute surprises.
  • Continuous Improvement: Opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and revenue are identified and acted upon throughout the season.
  • Ownership & Accountability: Challenges are addressed independently, communication with other departments is proactive, and management can trust that food and beverage operations are in capable hands.
