Full job description

FNF Canada, a division of Fidelity National Financial, is one of the country’s largest providers of title insurance and ancillary services is a leading service provider to financial institutions around mortgage processing, tax and appraisal services. With our continued growth in Canada, we are seeking a Funder. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, a client-focused mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. The ideal candidate will be a client focused, highly professional self-starter with demonstrated experience in a similar function. He/she will also have a positive attitude with a high level of quality workmanship and attention to detail.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Calculate mortgage payouts and generate funding documention incuding payout letters, statements of reciept and disbursements
  • Manage a queue of files and complete all related funding activities
  • Calculate amounts to pay for secured debts
  • Liaise with clients and lenders; resolve and escalate issues as necessary
  • Ensure proper information is given for payment of debts
  • Conduct the requisition of funds from lenders
  • Provide internal guidelines to the trust accounting team regarding proof of receipt of funds and disbursements
  • To complete daily ad-hoc funding related tasks; such as cheque separation, Intria faxing, and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:
  • College diploma
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar function
  • Familiarity with mortgages is preferred
  • Strong mathematical skills with attention to detail including experience analyzing complex financial transactions
  • Strong inter-personal, verbal, written communication skills
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
