Floral Design & Sales Associate

Location: MacArthur’s Flower Shop Ltd.
Reports to: Design Lead / Retail Sales Lead

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Floral Design & Sales Associate to join our team. This position combines hands-on floral design with customer service, sales, order taking, and general shop support.

The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Floral Design

  • Create floral arrangements that meet MacArthur’s quality and design standards
  • Complete everyday orders, special requests, and event work accurately and on time
  • Follow design direction while working efficiently and minimizing product waste
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe design area

Customer Service & Sales

  • Greet and assist customers in person and by phone
  • Help customers select flowers, arrangements, gifts, and other products
  • Take and enter orders accurately, including delivery details and special instructions
  • Clearly communicate pricing, options, availability, and timelines
  • Handle customer questions and concerns professionally and compassionately

Team & Shop Support

  • Communicate effectively with the design, sales, delivery, and operations teams
  • Support merchandising, restocking, and general shop upkeep
  • Work collaboratively and assist teammates during busy periods
  • Remain calm, organized, and professional during high-volume periods
  • Follow established shop procedures and standards

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of professional floral design experience required
  • Strong floral design skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using floral tools and working on your feet for extended periods
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • Retail and POS experience is an asset
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, and peak floral seasons as required

  • Beautiful, high-quality floral designs completed on time
  • Accurate orders and clear communication with customers and team members
  • Customers feel welcomed, understood, and confident in their purchase
  • A clean, organized, and positive shop environment
  • A reliable team member who can confidently move between design and customer service

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
