Full job description

Role Title: Production Associate

Role Description:

We are looking to audition a part-time production associate. This position plays an important role in the overall output of the Instant Imprints Location. Time commitment is 15-24 hours a week. This role is a growth opportunity. The production associate will primarily be responsible for producing custom printed garments, embroidery, promotional products, and wide-format signage. There will be some customer interaction, so associates need to be exemplary on the phone and live in person with clientele.

Primary Responsibilities:

Embroidery:

-producing custom embroidered garments for clients.

-operating a multi-head commercial embroidery machine and ancillary operations from hooping, threading, and trimming finished products

- Troubleshooting and solving primary issues like thread and needle breaks, bobbin changes, and thread nesting to produce a quality finished product for the client.

Wide Format Printing and Signage:

-being familiar with Roland wide-format printers and cutters

-die cutting, stickers, and labels

-laminating and mounting pressure-sensitive vinyls on various substrates

-knowledge of what product to use for various signage applications

-installing small jobs like window and door graphics

Custom T-shirts:

-Setting up art, laying out garments, and setting up production

-Operating a heat press and applying direct-to-film graphics

-Fold, steam, and prepare garments for client pick and packaging

Shop Operations and General Requirements:

-fine motor skills and the ability to work with your hands

-Interacting with customers on the phone and in the centre

-keeping the centre clean, tidy, and organized

-reasonable knowledge of graphics software and using computers

-ability to write and communicate with clients via email

-engaging and working as a team with other team members

-being able to work in a busy and dynamic environment

-generally curious, and a self-starter with a willingness to learn

-good cognitive ability and the capacity to think through production challenges

-positive overall attitude with quality communication skills

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
