Full job description

In business since 1980, McEwen’s is a petroleum and crop input dealer serving primarily the agricultural business in the Alberta Capital Region and is seeking an individual to fill the following position:

Site Manager, Athabasca, AB

Primarily on-site operations.

Reporting to the local Regional Manager, you will:

  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Be involved in the total sales cycle with our local customer base.
  • Ensure orders are correct and customer needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse work including driving forklift and operating fertilizer plant.
  • Perform some fleet maintenance.
  • Operate light and heavy trucks.
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed.
  • Pick up and deliver products between company branches as needed.
  • Assist with Fertilizer Field Applications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Work additional hours to meet business demands.
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
  • Mechanical skills an asset as we are expanding to include a Flaman Rentals at this location

Training provided:

  • Operation of application equipment
  • Forklift and other required training
  • Driver Training for certain license classes

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 35kgs
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Ability to work additional hours to meet business demands
  • Minimum Class 5 drivers license to start

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)

  • Ideally possess Class 3 drivers license (Or work towards getting it)
  • Farming background
  • Sales experience highly recommended
  • Ability to supervise and schedule a team

Wage Range: $75000 - $100000 conpensation package commensurate with experience and training. Significant overtime in spring seeding season and some for our fall fertilizer season.
