Full job description

Wild West Steelhead is a Canadian aquaculture operation and is one of Canada’s largest steelhead producers. Wild West Steelhead is located at Box 190 211-1st Avenue North Lucky Lake in Saskatchewan. Wild West Steelhead is currently looking for 3 full-time Fish Farm Workers (Processors) to start employment as soon as possible.

  • Responsibilities of this position may include:
  • Assist processing technicians in the operation of the fish farm
  • Participates on the automated filleting line, including manual trimming, pin-boning and vacuum packaging of fillets.
  • Participates at assigned work stations on the dressed processing line.
  • Feed aquaculture stocks, vaccinate stocks, perform culling and marking or banding techniques and report any observed irregularities in stocks
  • Operate, maintain and clean processing equipment and other aquaculture equipment
  • Keep daily records of inventory data and fish samples
  • Grade and weigh aquaculture stocks
  • Prepare Aquaculture stocks for market

The wage starts at $23.01/hour depending on experience and benefits include health and dental. Accommodation can be made available if required. Candidates must posses a high degree of co-ordination and dexterity. This position is physically demanding and candidates must be physically fit. Training will be provided.
