Allure Construction is seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company's financial strategy, accounting operations, financial planning, risk management, and overall fiscal performance.
The CFO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team and will work closely with the CEO, senior management, project executives, and operations teams to drive sustainable growth and profitability. This individual will provide financial leadership across construction projects, corporate operations, capital planning, cash-flow management, and business development.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in construction finance, job-cost accounting, financial forecasting, banking relationships, project financial management, and executive-level financial reporting.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Strategy & Executive Leadership
Develop and execute the company's overall financial strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
Serve as a strategic financial advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support business decisions, growth initiatives, acquisitions, and investments.
Establish financial goals, performance metrics, and accountability standards.
Evaluate the financial impact of major contracts, projects, investments, and business opportunities.
Participate in strategic planning and long-term business development initiatives.
Identify opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial performance.
Provide leadership and direction to the accounting and finance organization.
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
Develop long-term financial models and business forecasts.
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
Analyze revenue, gross margins, overhead, operating expenses, and profitability.
Provide monthly financial reporting and analysis to executive management.
Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and financial variances.
Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure company and project performance.
Provide accurate financial information to support operational and strategic decisions.
Construction Project Financial Management
Oversee financial management and reporting for construction projects.
Establish financial controls and reporting processes for project-level accounting.
Monitor project budgets, committed costs, actual costs, billing, cash flow, and profitability.
Review project forecasts and work-in-progress (WIP) reports.
Analyze job-cost reports and investigate significant cost variances.
Work closely with project managers and operations leadership to improve project profitability.
Monitor change orders, contract values, retainage, and project billing.
Evaluate project risks and potential cost overruns.
Ensure accurate recognition and reporting of construction revenue and costs.
Provide executive oversight of project financial performance.
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Oversee all accounting functions, including:
General ledger
Accounts payable
Accounts receivable
Payroll
Job costing
Fixed assets
Cash management
Financial reporting
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Establish and maintain appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
Ensure financial reporting complies with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
Review significant journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial adjustments.
Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the company's financial records.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
Develop and maintain comprehensive cash-flow forecasts.
Monitor company liquidity and working capital requirements.
Manage cash balances and optimize cash utilization.
Oversee accounts receivable collections and accounts payable payment strategies.
Develop strategies to improve cash conversion and working capital.
Monitor project-related cash flow and funding requirements.
Establish appropriate cash reserves and liquidity targets.
Review major expenditures and capital requirements.
Banking & Financing
Develop and maintain strong relationships with banks, lenders, and financial institutions.
Manage construction lending, credit facilities, lines of credit, and other financing arrangements.
Negotiate banking terms, financing agreements, and credit facilities.
Monitor borrowing capacity and compliance with loan covenants.
Evaluate financing alternatives for company growth and major projects.
Provide financial information to lenders and banking partners.
Oversee bonding and surety relationships where applicable.
Surety & Bonding
Manage relationships with surety companies and bonding partners.
Prepare and review financial information required for bonding capacity.
Work to maintain and improve the company's bonding capacity.
Monitor backlog, working capital, equity, and other financial factors affecting bonding.
Support project teams with bonding requirements for bids and contracts.
Ensure timely submission of financial statements and other information required by sureties.
Pay: $176,605.59-$229,166.60 per year
