Fire Alarm Technician – Nova Scotia

As one of Canada's leading independent fire life safety providers, we operate a ULC-listed Fire Alarm Monitoring Station and deliver inspection, service, monitoring, and life safety solutions to commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential clients from coast to coast.

What You'll Do

As a Fire Alarm Technician, you'll play a vital role in helping our customers maintain safe, code-compliant buildings.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual fire alarm inspections
  • Inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, and servicing fire alarm systems
  • Servicing fire extinguishers and emergency lighting systems
  • Installing and maintaining ULC fire alarm monitoring equipment
  • Completing electronic inspection reports and service documentation
  • Building strong relationships with customers through exceptional service
  • Participating in an after-hours on-call rotation

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys solving problems while providing outstanding customer service.

You have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the fire protection industry
  • Working knowledge of applicable fire codes and standards
  • Strong troubleshooting and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Experience using computers, tablets, and mobile applications
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • A valid Nova Scotia driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Residency in Nova Scotia
