About Us:
Amami is an 80-seat fine dining Italian restaurant and lounge opening in Oct. 2025 in Brampton. Rooted in authenticity and elevated by innovation, our kitchen blends traditional Italian techniques with bold modern flavours. With a focus on seasonal ingredients, elegant plating, and exceptional service, Amami aims to be one of the GTA’s premier culinary destinations.

Position Summary:
We are looking for motivated and reliable Line Cooks / Prep Cooks to join our opening team. You will be responsible for preparing ingredients, executing dishes during lunch and dinner service, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. This is an ideal opportunity for cooks who are passionate about Italian cuisine and eager to grow in a high-caliber culinary environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute dishes according to Amami’s standards of quality and presentation
  • Prep ingredients, sauces, and garnishes in advance of service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of station and storage areas
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Support the head chef and sous chef during peak periods
  • Follow food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
  • Participate in regular kitchen deep-cleaning and end-of-day shutdown procedures

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of line or prep cooking experience preferred
  • Experience in Italian or upscale dining establishments is an asset
  • Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience an asset
  • Strong knife skills and understanding of kitchen stations (grill, pasta, garde-manger, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Punctual, dependable, and a team player
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
