The Role: Server, Food & Beverage Department

Reports to: Food & Beverage Manager

Job Type: Full-time & Part-time Positions Available
(Minimum of 3 days per week)

Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour

Location: On-site at Vancouver Golf Club – 771 Austin Avenue, Coquitlam, BC

Who We're Looking For:

  • A passion for hospitality and commitment to delivering outstanding guest experiences.
  • Proven experience in upscale / fine dining or banquet service environments.
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage effectively with guests.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems (JONAS is a plus!)
  • A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable dining experiences.
  • Flexible Availability: Scheduling flexibility is a must.

Due to the nature of our operations, front-of-house employees must be available to work a flexible schedule during the peak golf season (April through October) and during our busiest banquet month of December. Required availability includes a combination of weekends, holidays, and peak event hours.

Work Environment:

  • These roles work primarily indoors within our dining and event facilities.
  • Regular interactions with VGC members, guests, and staff.
  • May require lifting or moving dining equipment of up to 25 lbs and standing for extended periods.
  • Due to the seasonal nature of our business, scheduling flexibility is essential to meet our operational requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Provide attentive and personalized service to members and guests in our dining areas, Members Lounge, and Banquet event spaces.
  • Expertly manage banquet services during events such as weddings, corporate meetings, and special occasions.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of our menu offerings, including daily specials and beverage selections, to make informed recommendations.
  • Ensure the dining environment is pristine, welcoming, and aligns with the club's high standards.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to guarantee prompt and accurate order delivery.
  • Uphold all club policies and procedures to ensure a consistent and exceptional member experience.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and professional growth.
