Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative food preparation. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, managing staff, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality are maintained in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.

Duties

  • Lead and supervise the kitchen staff, including cooks and kitchen assistants, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
  • Develop and plan menus that align with restaurant concepts, incorporating innovative dishes and catering options
  • Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to meet fine dining standards
  • Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen
  • Coordinate shift management to ensure smooth operations during service hours
  • Oversee catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to dietary requirements and customer satisfaction
  • Train staff on culinary techniques, safety procedures, and customer service standards
  • Collaborate with management on budgeting, cost control, and menu pricing strategies
  • Maintain a positive team environment that fosters professional growth and teamwork

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in fine dining establishments with strong culinary skills and leadership capabilities
  • Supervising experience in a high-volume kitchen or restaurant setting
  • Background in banquet service, catering, or dietary department management preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of food production, menu planning, inventory management, and food safety protocols
  • Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in food handling and kitchen operations
  • Experience in restaurant management or hospitality industry is highly desirable
  • Culinary certification or relevant training is preferred but not mandatory
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
