Full job description

Flat Out Transportation Services is seeking an experienced, self-motivated individual to perform a variety of accounting functions by following prescribed policies and procedures, applying generally accepted accounting principles/guidelines, and best practices on a permanent, full-time basis.

You will be responsible for: Reconciling a variety of general ledger and sub-ledger accounts; assisting with preparing, reconciling, reviewing and processing data for, accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, journal entry posting, budget, year-end, payroll and other finance related functions; assisting with the preparation of year-end working papers; preparing and maintaining a variety of complex tables, spreadsheets and financial reports; completing bank transactions/entries and reconciliations. Assist with
processing accounts payable invoices and accounts receivable billings and administration, payroll and other related functions. Assist with tasks related to the annual budget.

You must have a keen attention to detail and be able to prioritize your work to comply with departmental schedules and deadlines and respond to a variety of customer enquiries.

As the ideal candidate, you will have completed a recognized 2-year Diploma in an accounting discipline and have a minimum of three years financial/accounting experience including experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, subsidiary ledgers, working papers, and account reconciliation and analysis up to and including trial balance.

You will have the ability to maintain sustained attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to be courteous and tactful in a variety of demanding and difficult situations.
