Full job description

Location Support Personnel are contracted under the DGC (Director's Guild of Canada) to work alongside the Locations Department to help ensure that production locations operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal disruption to the surrounding community.

LSP responsibilities can vary depending on the production and location, but may include:

  • Maintaining location lockups and monitoring designated areas
  • Assisting with pedestrian and traffic control
  • Monitoring parking areas and production vehicles
  • Assisting with the setup and breakdown of location equipment
  • Supporting basecamp and holding areas
  • Assisting with lunchroom and crew-area setup
  • Helping maintain cleanliness and organization around production locations
  • Providing directions and information to members of the public when appropriate
  • Communicating with the Locations Department regarding issues or concerns
  • Following instructions from the Location Manager and other members of the Locations Department
  • Representing the production professionally when interacting with the public, businesses, and surrounding community
  • Performing other general location-support duties as required

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Professional and respectful
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable with early morning call times and extended shifts
  • Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
  • Comfortable interacting with members of the public
  • Able to remain attentive during long periods of standing or monitoring an area
  • Previous LSP, locations, or film/television experience is an asset

What to Expect

LSP work can involve early call times, long days, outdoor work, changing locations, and fast-moving production environments. Flexibility and reliability are essential.

Go To 2 maintains a non-exclusive roster, meaning LSPs are free to pursue opportunities through other companies and production sources.

Joining the Go To 2 roster does not guarantee shifts or a minimum number of hours. Opportunities are offered based on production requirements, experience, availability, and other factors.

Pay: $18.40-$20.77 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 60.0 per week
