Full job description

Sales Manager (Founding Role) – Hotels & Extended Stay

About Us
Kalido Hospitality Group is building a new kind of stay in Vancouver: modern, design-driven apartment hotels rooted in warmth and genuine hospitality. We operate a growing portfolio of properties across Vancouver's most in-demand neighborhoods, with more on the way. Our guests are film crews, relocations, corporate travelers, and long-stay guests who want more than a hotel room, and we're scaling fast to meet that demand.

How We Work
We're impatient, in the best way. We move fast, make decisions quickly, and don't let good ideas sit in meetings. We work extremely hard, we grow every year, and we expect the people who join us to grow right along with us. If you like speed, ownership, and seeing your work turn into results almost immediately, you'll fit right in. And because we're people too, we get that life happens. Family comes first, appointments come up, and we trust each other to handle it. We just never lose sight of the work.

The Role
If you're the kind of person who closes the deal everyone else said was dead, this is for you.

We're looking for our first Sales Manager, someone who doesn't wait for leads, doesn't need to be managed, and treats every "no" as a step closer to "yes." You'll be the face of Kalido to studio production execs, brokers, insurance adjusters, and corporate relocation teams, building the relationships that make our properties the obvious choice in Vancouver.

Fair warning: nothing is ready for you. There's no playbook, no polished CRM, no inherited book of business. You'll be building our sales department from the ground up, and shaping how Kalido sells for years to come. If a blank page excites you more than it scares you, keep reading.

This is a hands-on, out-in-the-world kind of job. Your days might start with coffee with a broker at 8, a site tour at noon, and a follow-up call after a production wraps for the day, with time back at our office or properties alongside the team in between. Success here is simple to see: meetings booked, proposals sent, contracts signed. And when a deal closes, we celebrate it together.

You'll build the pipeline, run it, and close it, across our current properties and every new one we add as we grow.

What You'll Do

  • Build Kalido's sales function from scratch: the process, the tools, the pitch, and the pipeline.
  • Own and grow accounts across production, corporate, relocation, and insurance segments, from first outreach to signed contract.
  • Build direct partnerships with local studios, production companies, agencies, brokerages, and corporates bringing people to Vancouver.
  • Generate your own pipeline through relentless outreach, networking, and creative deal-making.
  • Represent Kalido across our current portfolio and future properties as we expand.
  • Partner with marketing and revenue management to build offers that convert.
  • Share weekly updates on pipeline, wins, and lessons from the ones that got away.

What We're Looking For

  • Someone based in Vancouver who loves being out in the market and in front of people.
  • A track record of finding, chasing, and closing deals without waiting to be told.
  • Fast follow-up. Leads don't sit overnight.
  • Comfort with clear weekly and quarterly targets, and the drive to beat them.
  • Bonus points if you already know people in Vancouver's film, relocation, or corporate travel world.

What We Offer

  • Base salary of $75,000–$85,000 CAD, plus uncapped performance-based commission.
  • Flexibility for real life, paired with real accountability for results.
  • A front-row seat, and a direct hand in shaping how Vancouver experiences hospitality, as we grow from a handful of properties to many more.
  • The chance to build a sales department from day one, and grow with it.

This Role Is Not For You If…

  • You need a steady stream of inbound leads to stay busy.
  • You want everything set up before you start.
  • You'd rather send emails than walk into a room.
