- Perform environmental monitoring activities of all GMP areas, including sample collection, submission of samples for laboratory testing, review of test results, and maintenance of accurate and compliant records.
- Ensure identified sanitation deficiencies are corrected promptly and, where appropriate, escalate concerns to the Production Manager and Quality personnel.
- Coordinate sanitation activities with production schedules to ensure equipment and production rooms are properly cleaned and available for subsequent production activities.
- Ensure appropriate changeover and line-clearance cleaning activities are completed between different products, lots or production runs in accordance with established procedures.
- Manage the pest control program
- Monitor the availability and appropriate use of sanitation supplies, cleaning tools, PPE and other materials required to maintain Production Department sanitation standards.
- Ensure sanitation tools and equipment are maintained, stored appropriately and kept in a clean and sanitary condition.

- Reinforce adherence to sanitation SOPs and immediately address observed non-compliance or improper cleaning practices.
- Assist with investigations into sanitation-related issues, deviations, cleaning deficiencies or recurring sanitation concerns and implement corrective actions as directed by Production or Quality personnel.
- Support internal and regulatory audits by ensuring Production sanitation areas, records and practices are maintained in an inspection-ready condition.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance and Quality Control personnel to maintain appropriate sanitation standards and address sanitation-related concerns.
- Assist with the review and improvement of sanitation practices, procedures and processes to improve efficiency, consistency and compliance.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
