Role Summary:

We are seeking a Bike Mechanic / Kitter Assembler with strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. This role is ideal for individuals with prior mechanic or technician experience including automotive, small engine, or general mechanical backgrounds who enjoy hands-on work and solving mechanical challenges.

You will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and testing bicycles to ensure they meet our rigorous quality standards. The position offers opportunities for cross-training and professional growth within our production environment.

General Accountabilities and Required Skills:

  • Assemble, repair, and test a wide range of bicycles and adaptive mobility products, including frames, wheels, pedals, brakes, chains, and other mechanical components.
  • Utilize mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve assembly or repair issues efficiently.
  • Accurately use small hand and power tools. Such as hammers, screwdrivers, measuring tapes, wrenches, torque wrenches, power tools, drills, and band saw.
  • Assist in maintaining an organized inventory of bike parts and components. Report shortages of materials and order parts when necessary.
  • Work effectively under pressure and within tight production timelines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
  • Follow detailed assembly instructions, diagrams, and work orders accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace, adhering to all company and safety protocols.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), such as gloves, goggles, and aprons, when handling tools and materials.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure smooth production flow.
  • Assist when needed in the Shipping Department.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a mechanic, assembler, or technician (e.g., automotive, small engine, or manufacturing) preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems, fasteners, and torque specifications.
  • Experience working with hand and power tools in an assembly or repair setting.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, manual dexterity, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings, instructions, or assembly guides.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Comfortable working on your feet for the entire shift.
  • Experience with bicycle maintenance or repair is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
