Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide knowledgeable assistance about bakery products
- Prepare and replenish bakery items, ensuring freshness and presentation standards are met
- Operate POS systems, sales, and cash handling
- Upsell bakery products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery counter area in compliance with food safety regulations
- Assist with food handling, packaging, and serving to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld
- Support food preparation tasks like slicing bread, filling display cases, and restocking shelves
- Manage cash register operations accurately while handling transactions efficiently
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables or cleaning workspaces as needed in the café or retail environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, retail grocery store, café, or quick service restaurant preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and perform basic math calculations
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Experience with food preparation, baking, or culinary activities is a plus but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings as needed
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.60-$19.00 per hour
