Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a dependable Vineyard & Farm Hand to support the day-to-day care and upkeep of vineyard and farm operations. This hands-on role involves outdoor work in changing weather and requires attention to detail, a safety-minded approach, and a willingness to take on varied tasks. Training and direction will be provided for farm-specific procedures.

Duties

  • Assist with vineyard and horticultural work, including planting, pruning, weeding, and general crop care.
  • Support irrigation tasks by checking lines and equipment, reporting leaks or blockages, and helping with routine adjustments.
  • Perform general property, building, and equipment maintenance.
  • Operate and care for farm machinery and, when trained and authorized, heavy equipment.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely for farm and maintenance tasks.
  • Move supplies, materials, and harvested products; perform heavy lifting as needed.
  • Keep work areas, tools, and equipment clean and organized.
  • Follow safety procedures and communicate equipment issues or workplace hazards promptly.

Requirements

  • Interest or experience in farming, vineyard work, horticulture, irrigation, or grounds maintenance is helpful.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify routine equipment or maintenance issues.
  • Familiarity with farm machinery, hand tools, and power tools; heavy equipment operation experience is a plus.
  • Basic math skills for measuring, counting, and following task instructions.
  • Ability to perform physical outdoor work, including heavy lifting, standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
  • Dependable, attentive to detail, and able to work independently as well as follow direction.
  • Commitment to safe work practices and willingness to learn.

Pay: $18.00-$18.01 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
