Full job description

WEEKEND PERSONAL CHEF / MEAL PREP CHEF
Saturdays + Sundays
$24–$28/hr starting ASAP

We’re looking for a confident, experienced chef to prepare organic, nourishing meals for our private clients on Saturdays and Sundays.

This is not a restaurant job. You’ll have the freedom to work independently, shop for your own ingredients, and take ownership of each client’s meal prep from start to finish.

THE JOB

  • Cook for up to 2 clients per day
  • Typically prepare 3 family-style meals + sides per client
  • Up to 6 recipes per day
  • Grocery shop for your clients
  • Work with organic, whole-food ingredients
  • Prepare meals for a variety of diets:
  • Gluten-free
  • Dairy-free
  • Paleo
  • Keto
  • Customized dietary needs
  • Understand and follow macro-based meal plans
  • Keep your workspace clean and organized
  • Work quickly without sacrificing quality
  • Communicate with the team and flag issues early
  • Work independently while also being part of a team

YOU ARE

  • A confident cook who can walk into a kitchen and get it done
  • Fast, organized, and highly efficient
  • Comfortable managing multiple recipes at once
  • Comfortable working autonomously
  • Equally comfortable collaborating with a team
  • Knowledgeable about nutrition and different dietary requirements
  • Detail-oriented and reliable
  • Resourceful - you see a problem and figure it out
  • Passionate about healthy, nourishing food
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys cooking

REQUIREMENTS

  • 1+ year professional culinary experience
  • Strong cooking skills
  • Experience with meal prep or private clients is an asset
  • Understanding of macros and nutrition
  • Nutrition background is an asset
  • Vehicle + valid driver's license is an asset
  • Comfortable lifting up to 25kg
  • Available every Saturday and Sunday
