About Us

Family Place Restaurant & Pizza is a locally owned, family-operated restaurant in Huntsville that takes pride in serving high-quality food in a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. We believe great food comes from a kitchen built on teamwork, consistency, and respect.

We're looking for a dependable, motivated Cook who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in preparing every meal with care. Whether you're an experienced line cook or someone with solid restaurant kitchen experience looking to grow, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

As a Cook, you'll play an essential role in delivering consistent, high-quality meals while working closely with the kitchen and front-of-house teams.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
  • Ensure meals are prepared accurately, efficiently, and presented consistently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked workstation throughout each shift.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling procedures at all times.
  • Monitor food quality and report any concerns regarding ingredients or equipment.
  • Assist with prep work, stocking, and inventory organization as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth, efficient service.
  • Communicate effectively during busy service to maintain quality and ticket times.
  • Assist with opening, closing, and daily kitchen cleaning duties.
  • Help minimize food waste while maintaining portion consistency and quality.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous restaurant kitchen experience (line cook, prep cook, breakfast cook, pizza cook, or similar experience).
  • Works well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Takes pride in preparing consistently high-quality food.
  • Is dependable, punctual, and takes initiative.
  • Works well as part of a team and communicates respectfully with coworkers.
  • Understands food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Is organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • Has a positive attitude and is willing to help wherever needed.
