FAMILY RESOURCE WORKER
ALTARIO/CONSORT AREAS

This position is currently posted internally to CUPE employees for 5 working days until 4:30 p.m. July 9, 2026 as per the CUPE Local 5829 Collective Agreement.
Prairie Land School Division is seeking a compassionate, self-motivated individual to join our team as a Family Resource Worker. Working within a school-based setting, the Family Resource Worker supports students and their families by assisting with a wide range of social, emotional, behavioral, and family-related challenges. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, sound independent judgement, and a strong commitment to confidentiality. Effective planning and organizational skills, along with the ability to collaborate positively within a team environment, are essential.
This is a 10-month, full-time probationary position working five days per week, 7.5 hours per day, commencing on the first day of the 2026-2027 school year. The position will be based in the Consort and Altario area. Travel to other locations within the Division may be required. Occasional emergency call-outs during July and August may also be necessary.
Preference will be given to a candidate who has completed a College Diploma or University Degree in a human services, social services, or health-related field, with a degree in Social Work considered an asset. A combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered. The successful candidate must hold, or be eligible to obtain, membership within their applicable professional designation. A valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License, valid vehicle insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle are required.
