Job Description (IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING)

This position is exclusively for physicians who currently hold active registration and are licensed to practise medicine in British Columbia with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC).

Applicants who do not currently hold an active licence to practise medicine in British Columbia cannot be considered for this position.

We are seeking a patient-focused Family Physician / General Practitioner (GP) licensed in British Columbia to join our growing virtual healthcare team.

This is a remote, part-time clinical position providing virtual healthcare services to patients across British Columbia. As an independent healthcare provider, you will assess patients, diagnose and manage medical conditions, prescribe medications when clinically appropriate, order laboratory investigations and other diagnostic tests, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing follow-up care within your professional scope of practice.

You will document all clinical encounters using our electronic medical record (EMR) platform and collaborate closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.

This role is ideal for physicians who enjoy practising independently, embrace technology-enabled healthcare, and are passionate about improving access to high-quality care for patients across British Columbia.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills
  • Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and decision-making abilities
  • Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centred care
  • Previous experience providing virtual healthcare is considered an asset
  • Comfortable working independently in a technology-enabled environment
  • Highly organized with excellent clinical documentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals

Key Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Current active registration and licence to practise medicine in British Columbia with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC)
  • Authorized to independently assess patients, diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medications, and order laboratory investigations in British Columbia
  • Eligible to practise independently in British Columbia
  • Excellent knowledge of British Columbia healthcare regulations, professional standards, privacy requirements, and virtual care guidelines
  • Comfortable providing virtual patient care using an electronic medical record (EMR)

Please note: This position requires an active British Columbia physician licence at the time of application. Applicants who do not currently hold this credential cannot be considered.
