Family Physician / General Practitioner (NOC 31102) – 5 Positions Full Time, Permanent
Openfield Medical Centre
770 Broadview Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2A 3Z3

Openfield Medical Centre is seeking 5 Family Physicians / General Practitioners to provide comprehensive, longitudinal primary care in a community family medicine clinic in Ottawa.

Terms of employment: Permanent, full-time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Start date: As soon as possible
Work location: On site at 770 Broadview Avenue, Ottawa, ON K2A 3Z3
Language of work: English
Compensation: Fee-for-service; expected annual gross earnings of $233,752 to $451,418 based on OHIP and applicable schedules; actual earnings vary with patient volume and scope of practice
Benefits / practice supports: Medical Office Assistant and administrative support, EMR onboarding and clinic workflow support, flexible scheduling, and on-site parking

Duties

  • Conduct patient assessments, including histories and physical examinations
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions and injuries
  • Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests, including imaging
  • Prescribe medications and counsel patients on treatment plans, prevention, and follow-up
  • Provide preventive care, screening, immunizations, and chronic disease management
  • Perform minor office procedures within scope and competence
  • Coordinate referrals and continuity of care with specialists, hospitals, and community services
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation in the clinic EMR
  • Participate in clinic quality improvement and practice initiatives, as required

Requirements

  • MD degree or equivalent
  • Licensed with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO), or eligible for CPSO licensure by start date
  • Eligible for professional liability protection (CMPA or equivalent)
  • Eligible to bill OHIP and participate in Ontario physician payment models, as applicable
  • CCFP preferred
  • Family medicine or primary care experience is an asset
  • Canadian experience is not required
