WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

──────────────────────────────────────

At Foundations Counselling, we provide you with referrals you want to work with, handle all the admin, and give you beautiful office space to work from—so you can focus on what you do best: showing up for your clients.

We're a growing group practice in Vancouver working with children, teens, adults, and couples across a wide range of concerns. Our team is warm, grounded, and serious about sustainable practice. We are honored to support young people, adults and couples who are overwhelmed, anxious, struggling with ADHD, feeling disconnected from their loved ones, or maybe just feeling "off" and don't even know why.

──────────────────────────────────────

THE OPPORTUNITY

──────────────────────────────────────

We're looking for a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or equivalent to join our team as a contract associate.

Ideal for a clinician who:

✔ Wants steady, meaningful referrals without the marketing grind ✔ Works with adults and couples ✔ Values autonomy AND the support of a real team behind them ✔ Is looking for a professional home

──────────────────────────────────────

WHAT WE BRING TO THE TABLE

──────────────────────────────────────

→ Consistent client referrals (we invest heavily in marketing—your calendar fills) → Support around client retention and how to keep your client list steady → Beautiful, fully furnished Vancouver office space → Admin support: booking, billing, client communications → Jane App, payment processing & systems fully set up for you → Psychology Today profile + website listing → Professional headshots and branded marketing support → A well-regarded clinic with strong community reputation → A collaborative, respectful team culture—connection without pressure

Compensation: Split-based contractor arrangement (details shared at interview)

──────────────────────────────────────

WHAT YOU'LL DO

──────────────────────────────────────

  • Provide individual and/or couples counselling (in-person & virtual), conduct intake consultations and ongoing sessions, maintain clinical notes in Jane App, manage your own schedule within agreed availability, engage with the team when it's useful—collaboration is an open door and encouraged

──────────────────────────────────────

YOU'RE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

──────────────────────────────────────

  • Hold RCC designation (or equivalent) in BC, have experience with adults and couples. Are warm, relational, and grounded in your clinical approach. Communicate clearly and show up reliably for clients and colleagues. Can commit to a mix of in-person and virtual sessions. Are available for at least 12 client hours/week, including one evening or weekend slot.

Bonus points for:

→ Training in CBT, IFS, Somatic Therapy, Gottman Method or EFT → Experience with anxiety, trauma, relationships → Interest in developing a niche over time
