At Fairfield Inn & Suites Sault Ste. Marie, we pride ourselves on providing warm hospitality and a clean, welcoming environment for every guest. We’re currently seeking reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeping Associates to join our team. This is an entry-level position, and training will be provided.

What You’ll Do

As a Housekeeping Associate, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our guest rooms and public spaces are consistently clean, safe, and comfortable. Duties include:

  • Preparing and stocking housekeeping carts and maintaining storerooms in a clean and organized manner
  • Cleaning guest rooms and bathrooms: wiping surfaces, sanitizing fixtures, washing floors, dusting, vacuuming, and refreshing amenities
  • Changing linens and making beds with attention to cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Inspecting and reporting maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately
  • Cleaning public areas, hallways, and windows, including high/low dusting and vacuuming under/behind furniture
  • Securing equipment, keys, and supplies at all times to protect hotel property
  • Maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor with guests and team members
  • Assisting with laundry operations when required (sorting, washing, drying, folding, and restocking linens)
  • Supporting the housekeeping team and other departments as needed

Who You Are

  • Availability is key – must be available to work weekdays and weekends with open scheduling flexibility
  • Dependable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Comfortable performing physical tasks, including standing for long periods, bending, lifting, and pushing carts
  • Detail-oriented and committed to cleanliness and guest satisfaction
  • Professional in both appearance and communication
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team
