Job Summary: The Frozen Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the frozen and refrigerated goods sections within the warehouse. This role involves coordinating the receipt, storage, and distribution of frozen and fresh products, ensuring that all activities are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with health and safety regulations. The Frozen Warehouse Coordinator will manage inventory, maintain accurate records, and work closely with other departments to ensure the seamless flow of goods.

Key Responsibilities

1. Team Leadership:

• Lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse personnel, including seasonal employees.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude, especially during stressful situations, ensuring a calm and supportive work environment.

2. Operations:

• Oversee the efficient storage and dispatch of frozen goods to meet customer demands.
• Optimize warehouse procedures to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and sanitation regulations, with a focus on maintaining the integrity of frozen food products.
• Oversee record verification and compliance and communicate findings with appropriate team members.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (i.e.: Sales Team and Order Desk, Production Team, Plant Manager, Quality Assurance, and Inventory Coordinator).
• Optimize storage space and organization within the frozen and refrigerated sections of the warehouse.

3. Inventory Management:

• Work alongside the Inventory Coordinator to conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Ensure proper rotation of stock to ensure FIFO.
• Work alongside the Quality Assurance Team to manage product returns, disposals, and products on Hold.

4. Quality Assurance:

• Monitor and enforce strict adherence to product quality standards and handling procedures.
• Collaborate with quality control teams to address and resolve any product-related issues promptly.
• Ensure precise record keeping, including the verification of accurate records and timely communication of any issues to appropriate team members (i.e.: Plant Manager).
• Follow Food Safety and Food Quality programs in place (SQF, HACCP, GFCO, Fair Trade, and Organic).

5. Communication:

• Foster and develop effective communication within the warehouse team and with other departments.
• Collaborate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.

6. Receiving and Shipping:

• Organize and prepare frozen goods for outgoing shipments, including wholesale distribution and co-pack shipments.
• Ensure all documentation for shipping and receiving is completed accurately and timely.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse management, with a focus on freezer or cold storage facilities.
• Strong knowledge of frozen product handling, storage, and transportation requirements.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in using warehouse management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Understanding of safety and compliance regulations related to frozen food storage.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma; further education in a related filed is considered an asset.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a freezer or cold storage facility.
• Forklift license or experience.
• Train the Trainer certification is considered an asset.
