Job Description:
Under the direction of the General Manager, the Maintenance Manager is responsible for the general upkeep of the building, grounds, and equipment.

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the Resort is well-maintained and meets high standards in appearance, safety, and functionality. This includes keeping the building in good repair through minor carpentry, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and painting tasks, maintaining a Preventative Maintenance Program, and managing a painting program aligned with Regency standards.

Duties also cover groundskeeping, such as keeping entrances clean, ice-free in winter, and debris-free year-round.

The role includes performing monthly fire inspections, organizing quarterly drills, assisting with special event setups, and responding to emergency calls promptly.

Additional responsibilities involve inventory management, protecting Resort assets, setting and evaluating departmental goals, and budget management in collaboration with the General Manager.

The Maintenance Manager promotes a team environment through positive interdepartmental interactions, respects resident confidentiality, and upholds residents’ dignity. The role requires familiarity with organizational policies, courteous and patient interactions with residents and visitors, assistance in onboarding new staff, and performing additional duties as needed.

· Work Hours are primarily Monday to Friday, but flexibility is required based on need (Evenings and Weekends in addition to daytime)

· Number of Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week

Education and Experience:

  • Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • WHMIS
  • Must provide a complete and current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Skills for Success:

· Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

· Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

· Able to plan and organize maintenance service.

· Computer literate.

Salary:

Between $55,000-$65,000.

Pay: $53,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
