MAÎTRE D' / GUEST RELATIONS LEADER

Dorsia — Old Montreal

Reports to: General Manager

POSITION OVERVIEW

Dorsia is seeking an experienced hospitality professional to play a key role in both guest experience and dining room leadership.

This position combines service, floor supervision, and guest relations. You will actively work the floor, manage your own section, and help oversee the flow, energy, and standards of the dining room.

We are looking for someone who can build lasting relationships with guests, recognize returning clientele, and become an important part of the Dorsia experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage a section with professionalism and consistency
  • Deliver an exceptional and personalized guest experience
  • Build relationships with guests and develop repeat clientele
  • Act as a shift leader and support the front-of-house team
  • Assist with seating management and dining room pacing
  • Uphold service, presentation, and hospitality standards
  • Lead pre-service meetings and maintain strong team communication
  • Support daily operations including opening, closing, and service coordination
  • Resolve guest concerns with confidence and professionalism
  • Help maintain an elegant, welcoming, and professional atmosphere

SCHEDULE

  • 5 shifts per week
  • Tuesday through Saturday

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in fine dining or upscale hospitality
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Natural leadership presence on the floor
  • Wine and spirits knowledge is an asset
  • Bilingual (English and French)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-expectation environment

RÉSUMÉ DU POSTE

Dorsia est à la recherche d’un(e) maître d’hôtel expérimenté(e) pour jouer un rôle clé dans l’expérience client et le leadership de la salle.

Ce poste combine service, supervision du plancher et gestion de l’expérience client. Vous serez présent(e) en salle, responsable de votre propre section tout en contribuant au bon déroulement du service et au maintien des standards de Dorsia.

Nous recherchons une personne capable de développer des relations durables avec nos invités, de reconnaître les clients réguliers et de devenir une figure importante de l’expérience Dorsia.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

  • Gérer une section avec professionnalisme et constance
  • Offrir une expérience client exceptionnelle et personnalisée
  • Reconnaître et fidéliser la clientèle régulière
  • Agir comme leader de quart et soutenir l’équipe de salle
  • Participer à la gestion du placement des clients et du rythme de la salle
  • Assurer le respect des standards de service, de présentation et d’hospitalité
  • Animer les réunions pré-service et assurer une communication efficace avec l’équipe
  • Soutenir les opérations quotidiennes : ouvertures, fermetures et coordination du service
  • Intervenir rapidement et efficacement lors de situations particulières avec les invités
  • Contribuer au maintien d’une ambiance élégante, chaleureuse et professionnelle

HORAIRE

  • 5 quarts par semaine
  • Mardi au samedi

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

  • Minimum de 4 ans d’expérience en restauration haut de gamme ou gastronomique
  • Expérience en supervision ou en leadership d’équipe
  • Excellentes aptitudes relationnelles et sens de l’accueil développé
  • Leadership naturel et forte présence sur le plancher
  • Bonne connaissance des vins et spiritueux (un atout)
  • Bilingue français et anglais
  • Capacité à performer sous pression dans un environnement exigeant
