The Opportunity

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director will provide strategic and operational leadership across all facets of the organization. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, community-minded leader to guide our team in advancing our mission and increasing our impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Lead, coach, and develop staff while fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
  • Operations & Administration: Oversee day-to-day operations, facilities, legal obligations, and compliance.
  • Finance & Risk: Develop budgets, manage financial resources, ensure fiscal accountability, and oversee audits.
  • Fund Development: Lead fundraising strategies, grant applications, donor relations, and community partnerships.
  • Human Resources: Recruit, support, and retain qualified staff and volunteers. Promote staff development and performance management.
  • Board Relations: Act as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors; provide regular reports and strategic guidance.
  • Communications & Advocacy: Serve as chief spokesperson and build strong relationships with stakeholders, government agencies, and the media.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of senior leadership experience; nonprofit experience is an asset.
  • Strong skills in finance, human resources, fundraising, public speaking, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire diverse teams, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • A passion for youth development and community building.
