Shipping Clerk

Express Employment Professionals

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting a Shipping Clerk for a large and well-established client specializing in pipes, fittings, and industrial products. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized professional with experience in shipping, logistics, warehousing, or the pipe and fittings industry.

If you enjoy coordinating shipments, working with customers, managing documentation, and ensuring orders move efficiently from warehouse to customer, we'd like to hear from you.

Schedule

Monday to Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily product shipments with customers and sales teams
  • Confirm product availability and shipment schedules
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel to ensure accurate order fulfillment
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs paperwork, and pro forma invoices
  • Contact customers prior to shipment when required
  • Process and maintain data in company systems
  • Coordinate customer pick-ups and shipment arrangements
  • Handle customer service inquiries via phone and email
  • Investigate and resolve purchase order discrepancies
  • Track Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
  • Assist with monthly and year-end inventory processes
  • Support training initiatives as assigned
  • Perform additional duties as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Shipping Clerk, Logistics Coordinator, Shipper/Receiver, or related role
  • Experience within the pipe, fittings, construction materials, industrial supply, or distribution industry is considered a strong asset
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Comfortable with data entry and administrative tasks
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg) when required
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
