Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to perform various excavation tasks on construction sites. This role requires a strong understanding of equipment operation, safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project completion.

MUST HAVE 10 YEARS EXPERIENCE

MUST HAVE OWN TRANSPORTATION

MUST BE A SELF STARTER.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavators and other heavy equipment, including graders, bulldozers, and backhoes, to dig, move, and grade earth materials.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members to coordinate excavation activities effectively.
  • Must be able to know how to use the GPS systems.
  • Follow all safety regulations and guidelines while operating machinery on-site.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to management.

Experience

  • Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, specifically with excavators and related machinery.
  • Familiarity with grader operation, bulldozing, commercial driving, and mechanical knowledge is preferred.
  • Ability to operate backhoes and perform horizontal drilling tasks is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of excavation techniques and safety practices in construction environments.
  • A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications for heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
