Full job description

Event Manager / Producer

Overview:

A well‑established events organization in Canada is seeking an experienced Event Manager / Producer to lead the planning, logistics, and onsite delivery of a wide range of programs. This team partners with major brands across North America to deliver conferences, incentives, meetings, and large‑scale experiences—both in person and virtual. We believe that thoughtful design, seamless operations, and intentional guest experiences create events that connect people and inspire action.

About the Opportunity

This role plays a central part in the event lifecycle, overseeing all operational elements from early planning through onsite execution. The Event Manager / Producer ensures that logistics, attendee experience, and program flow are strategically aligned with event objectives. You’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to translate goals into clear plans, build scalable processes, and deliver experiences that are polished, inclusive, and memorable.

If you enjoy shaping the details that bring events to life—and thrive in environments where precision and creativity meet—this role offers the opportunity to influence programs from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the planning and execution of all event logistics, including venue coordination, travel and accommodation, F&B, registration, staffing, and documentation.
  • Oversee attendee communications across the full program lifecycle, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and a seamless guest experience.
  • Design logistics strategies that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, and cultural sensitivity for diverse audiences.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, track budgets, and ensure compliance with safety, legal, and international travel requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to integrate creative concepts, engagement moments, and event‑tech solutions.
  • Lead onsite delivery with professionalism and calm, ensuring every detail is executed to a high standard.
  • Develop frameworks, processes, and best practices that elevate event operations across the organization.

About you:

You’ll thrive in this role if you see yourself in statements like:

  • You understand that logistics and guest experience are deeply connected—and that thoughtful planning shapes how people feel.
  • You think several steps ahead, anticipating needs and solving problems before they arise.
  • You bring clarity to complexity, guiding teams through timelines, workflows, and operational decisions.
  • You balance big‑picture thinking with meticulous attention to detail.
  • You stay curious about new tools, technologies, and approaches that improve how events are delivered.

Skills & Strengths

  • Strong project manager with the ability to lead complex logistics and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator with a client‑focused mindset.
  • Proactive problem solver with a calm, solutions‑oriented approach onsite and off.
  • Deep understanding of attendee flow, space planning, transportation logistics, inventory management, and signage/wayfinding.
  • Confident managing budgets, negotiating with vendors, and ensuring operational compliance.
  • High standards for quality, precision, and thoughtful execution.

Experience & Education

  • 10+ years managing large‑scale, complex corporate events or conferences.
  • Proven experience in corporate event attendee logistics and program management.
  • Post‑secondary education in Event Planning, Hospitality, Production, or a related field.
  • Experience working in fast‑paced, client‑focused environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • CMP certification or equivalent is an asset.

Who are we:

Our team is grounded in collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to delivering thoughtful, high‑quality work. We value people who are:

  • Approachable, team‑oriented, and relationship‑driven.
  • Open to new ideas and eager to elevate how events are delivered.
  • Detail‑focused and dedicated to exceptional results.
  • Motivated by work that connects people and creates meaningful impact.

Additional Details

  • One full‑time position available
  • Salary range is $80-100k with the goal of starting between 85k-90k depending on level of experience and skill.
  • Candidates advancing in the process will receive additional information about the organization
  • Generative AI may be used to support initial screening; all qualified resumes are reviewed by a Human Resources professional
