Location: In Office North York

Type: Full-time Permanent

Salary range: $55,000 - $60,000

About Nankind

At Nankind, we believe in the power of compassion, connection, and community. Our organization supports families living with cancer by providing vital childcare and emotional support. As an Events and Fundraising Coordinator at Nankind, you’ll be joining a passionate, purpose-driven team where your work truly makes an impact—every single day.

About the role

We're looking for an event and fundraising coordinator to plan and execute fundraising and community events that directly support families facing cancer. You'll manage logistics end-to-end, run our online auction platform, and keep donor and event data clean and actionable across our systems. Additionally, you’ll be working with an events management company to execute one large annual event per year.

What you'll do

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events from concept through post-event wrap-up
  • Manage online auction setup, item sourcing, bidder communication, and platform administration using Givergy
  • Maintain accurate donor and event records in Bloomerang, including gift entry, event registration, and reporting
  • Coordinate event logistics: vendors, venues, timelines, budgets, and day-of execution
  • Collaborate with staff, board members, and volunteers using Microsoft Teams and the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Support donor stewardship and communications tied to events
  • Track event budgets and provide post-event reporting on attendance, revenue, and auction performance
  • Recruit, train, and manage event volunteers

What you bring

  • 2+ years of experience coordinating events, ideally in a nonprofit or fundraising context
  • Hands-on experience with Givergy or comparable online auction/event platforms
  • Working knowledge of Bloomerang or comparable donor CRM systems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and the MS Office Suite
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple events and deadlines at once
  • Clear, professional written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work some evenings/weekends around event schedules
  • A genuine connection to Nankind's mission

Nice to have

  • Experience working with a fundraising board or volunteer committees
  • Background in donor stewardship or gift processing
  • Event photography/social media content experience
