Position: Standardized Patient (SP)
Location: 6460 Millcreek drive, Mississauga
Event Dates: September 6th 2026
Compensation: $250- 8am-5pm

$350- 8am-9pm

About Us:
The OSCE Academy is Canada’s premier platform for supporting international medical graduates (IMGs) preparing for their clinical licensing exams. We deliver high-quality OSCE simulations with professionalism, realism, and care and our SPs are at the heart of that experience.

Position Summary:
We are seeking professional, reliable, and empathetic individuals preferably actors to serve as Standardized Patients (SPs) for a NAC OSCE mock exam event. SPs are trained to portray patients in clinical scenarios, helping candidates practice communication and clinical reasoning skills in a safe, structured environment.

Key Responsibilities:
☐ Memorize and perform standardized patient scripts with consistency
☐ Portray patient emotions, symptoms, and history accurately
☐ Remain in character throughout each encounter
☐ Follow directions from exam coordinators and staff
☐ Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times
☐ Attend a brief virtual orientation and training session prior to the event

Qualifications:

  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in acting, teaching, healthcare, or simulation an asset
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Able to follow instructions and commit to either 2 sessions from 8am-5pm or 3 cycles from 8am-9pm
  • Comfortable with scenarios involving medical or sensitive topics
