Hiring: EMR's, PCP's, ACP's Needed for summer to winter Oil and Gas Projects beginning end of May, 2026 in Alberta, BC and SASK.

Advanced Safety Paramedics is seeking new and experienced Emergency Medical Responders (EMRs) PCP, and ACP's registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics or equivalent, to join our team. We have critical long-term projects over the summer and winter months that require your expertise and dedication.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Rotation schedule: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or 21-24 days on, 7-14 days off
  • Locations: Assignments across various sites throughout Alberta
  • Competitive daily rate: $350-$425 -$750 respectively
  • Hourley rate of 8 reg hours, and 4 OT hours

Job Overview

In this vital role, you will provide immediate onsite medical care and coordinate timely transport to medical facilities for injured workers. Key Responsibilities

  • Administer immediate first aid and emergency medical care to injured or ill workers on-site to scope of practice
  • Assess patient condition, provide appropriate treatment, and coordinate timely transport to medical facilities as needed
  • Unit and equipment checks
  • Safely operate a heavy duty 4x4 truck with MTC over challenging terrain and remote gravel roads in all types of weather and road conditions
  • Maintaining cleanliness of supplies, equipment, truck and MTC so it is always in a ready state for patient care
  • Maintain detailed records of all medical incidents and interventions
  • Ensure compliance with Advanced Safety Paramedics' Medical Control Guidelines, safety policies, and all applicable regulations
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to support the overall safety and well-being of the workforce
  • Setting up STARS site
  • Signing in/out visitors to the site
  • Maintaining an accurate head count in event of emergency
  • Site orientations
  • Customer service skills
  • Use of work apps for the day to day operations
  • Actively take part in safety meetings and speaking to large groups
  • Completing ERP's, hazard ID's and performing some administrative duties using site specific software programs.
  • Working away from home for extended periods of time

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Current EMR, PCP, ACP registration with the Alberta College of Paramedics in good standing for our Alberta based jobs
  • Current EMR, PCP, ACP registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics in good standing for our Saskatchewan based jobs
  • For our BC jobs- Must have a current UNRESTRICTED OFA 3 certificate
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as an EMR or OFA 3 - preference given to those with oil & gas experience
  • Unrestricted Class 5 Canadian Driver's License
  • Current BLS
  • 3 year driver's abstract
  • Current H2S Alive**
  • Current TDG
  • Current WHMIS
  • Current CSO (common safety orientation)**
  • Ability to work effectively in high-pressure, remote, and challenging environments
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient care and upholding safety standards
  • Willingness to work a rotational schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off or 21-24 days on, 7-14 days off
