Esthetician / Skin Therapist — Kalamalka Glow Skin Studio

Compensation: 35% service commission — earning potential up to approximately $200/hour during booked treatment time

About Kalamalka Glow

Kalamalka Glow is a new lakeside regenerative skin studio opening on the shores of Kalamalka Lake in Lake Country, BC.

Our philosophy is simple:

We're creating something intentionally different from a traditional spa or medical aesthetics clinic — an intimate, elevated skin sanctuary focused on skin health, regeneration, longevity and exceptional client experiences.

Our approach is barrier-first, low-tox and evidence-informed, combining beautiful, restorative treatments with advanced skin technologies and photobiomodulation.

The setting is an important part of the experience: a private lakeside studio where clients can slow down, receive an incredible treatment and stay for a while by the water.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for 1–2 estheticians / skin therapists initially, with additional opportunities expected as Kalamalka Glow grows.

We would especially love to meet people who:

- Are trained or certified in esthetics, skin therapy or a related field

- Are genuinely passionate about skin health, regeneration and longevity

- Have an interest in nutrition, wellness and whole-person health

- Appreciate a low-tox, evidence-informed approach to beauty

- Are warm, grounded and exceptional with clients

- Are reliable, professional and detail-oriented

- Love learning and are interested in advanced skin technologies

- Want to help build something special from its earliest days

Experience is an asset, but alignment, aptitude and philosophy matter enormously to us. We're open to people at different stages of their careers who have strong foundational training and are excited to continue learning.

Treatments & Technology

Our treatment menu will include high-end customized facials, regenerative skin treatments, microneedling, Tixel skin resurfacing, red and near-infrared photobiomodulation and other advanced skin technologies, with additional modalities introduced as the studio grows.

We will provide our own training on our machines, products, protocols and treatment philosophy, so previous experience with every technology is not required.

At the same time, we're very excited to hear from applicants who already have experience working with Tixel, microneedling, advanced facial technologies, photobiomodulation or other professional skin devices. Existing experience is absolutely an asset and something we'd love to build on.

This is not an injectables-focused clinic. Our focus is beautiful, healthy skin, regeneration, longevity and evidence-informed skin health.

Compensation — 35% Service Commission

We want our compensation structure to directly reward our skin therapists for the treatments they perform.

Compensation is based on a 35% commission on services performed.

Because Kalamalka Glow is positioned as a high-end skin studio, our menu will range from elevated facial treatments to significantly higher-value advanced treatments. Earnings will therefore vary depending on the treatments performed and their pricing.

Commission-based earning potential may reach and also exceed approximately $200/hour during booked treatment time for higher-value services.

The advertised “up to $200/hour” figure represents commission-based earning potential during booked treatment time. It is not a guaranteed $200 hourly wage.

Our compensation structure, scheduling and expectations will be discussed transparently during the interview process and structured in accordance with applicable BC employment requirements.

Our Soft Launch

We're opening Kalamalka Glow intentionally.

Our first phase will be a small, word-of-mouth soft launch, primarily welcoming friends, referrals and friends of friends while we introduce the studio, refine the experience and begin building our client base and reviews.

Select treatments will be offered at special introductory pricing during this phase, so commission earnings will reflect those introductory treatment prices.

As we move into regular pricing, expand our clientele and introduce additional advanced treatments, earning opportunities will grow accordingly.

This is a unique opportunity for the right people to come in at the very beginning, learn our philosophy and treatment protocols, help us shape an exceptional client experience and grow alongside the studio.

Growing the Kalamalka Glow Team

We're initially looking for approximately 1–2 people to join us on a part-time basis.

However, we are also welcoming applications from exceptional candidates for future expansion.

If you feel strongly aligned with Kalamalka Glow but aren't looking for exactly what we're offering during our initial opening phase, we'd still love to hear from you. We will keep strong applicants in mind as our treatment menu, hours and team expand.

Hours have the potential to grow significantly with client demand.
