Full job description

We are a privately owned, successful company that has proudly served the transportation industry for over 20 years, providing equipment, parts, and service. We are currently seeking a customer-focused, highly organized Parts Associate to join our team.

In this role, you will work directly with the Parts Manager to fulfill customer orders, process billing, and assist with receiving and stocking new parts inventory. This position combines hands-on physical work with administrative responsibilities, making it ideal for a well-rounded individual who enjoys a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle customer orders and inquiries by phone, email, and over the counter, providing accurate, courteous, efficient, and professional service.
  • Prepare customer orders and process payment transactions on a daily basis.
  • Receive, unload, verify and stock parts and other materials in the warehouse and yard.
  • Work closely with the Service Department to ensure technicians have timely access to parts required to complete repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensure all parts are accurately billed to the appropriate work orders.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe parts storage area.
  • Assist with inventory counts and help keep inventory records accurate.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a parts, automotive, heavy equipment, or related industry is preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Computer skills and the ability to learn inventory software.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
  • Forklift certification and experience is an asset but not required.

Compensation: Competitive wages, commensurate with experience
