What you will do:

  • Enthusiastically greet and welcome customers to the Dairy Queen brand, be professional in every aspect of performance and exhibit a genuine passion for excellence at all times.
  • Strive to exceed customer expectations and deliver customer first service through timely and quality service.
  • Assist in the management of specific areas of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.
  • Pace the crew to high levels of performance by understanding the importance of speed of service and resolving bottlenecks in workflow.
  • Assist Management with hiring, training and coaching of crew members to build a highly skilled and productive team.
  • Ensure the restaurant is clean, well stocked, properly organized and staffed at all times.
  • Help maintain equipment, facility and cleanliness throughout the production cycle.
  • Create and maintain a positive, safe, clean, and inviting environment for customers and team members.
  • Calmly solve customer concerns and embrace Dairy Queen’s service recovery standards.
  • Be a willing team player and maintain cooperative, harmonious working relationships with management and team members alike.
  • Quickly and accurately prepare treats and grill food products following DQ recipes and standards.
  • Communicate clearly and politely ensuring orders are served quickly and accurately.
  • Model performance and policy standards for all team members and work stations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Follow food safety training and use safe food handling procedures to meet or exceed local health regulations and food safety standards.
  • Work in different temperature ranges (refrigerators & freezers), be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, able to lift and carry up to 50lbs for short distances.

About You:

  • High volume quick service restaurant experience preferred but not required.
  • Capable of supervising specific areas of the business in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
  • ServSafe® certification is an asset by not required.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Work well under pressure packed situations while maintaining a great attitude.
  • Able to work in different temperature ranges (refrigerators & freezers), be capable of standing and walking for extended periods of time, able to lift and carry up to 50lbs for short distances.
  • Communicates positively with customers and co-workers constantly during shifts.
  • Friendly, courteous, enjoy working with and serving people.
  • Strong work ethic and can work independently or as part of a team.
  • Exhibit good manners, proper personal hygiene and a positive attitude.
  • Honest, reliable and interested in developing new skills.
