Full job description

ASI Corp is hiring for an Environmental Compliance Specialist position in our Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Office. The Environmental Compliance Specialist is responsible for managing the Company’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance across Canada.

This role ensures compliances with provincial regulations, stewardship programs, reporting, and audit requirements related to recyclable products. The position acts as the primary internal owner of e-waste compliance and coordinates closely with Legal, Operations, Sustainability, and external partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Canadian E-Waste EPR compliance across all applicable provinces
  • Register and maintain compliance with provincial stewardship organizations
  • Prepare, review, and submit:
  • Producer registrations
  • Sales and weight reports
  • Annual compliance filings
  • Manage relationships with:
  • Stewardship programs
  • Recyclers
  • Compliance consultants
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess business impact
  • Lead compliance audits, inquiries, and data requests
  • Ensure accurate tracking of products, volumes, and reporting data
  • Develop and maintain internal compliance documentation and controls
  • Support internal teams with compliance guidance during:
  • New product launches
  • Market expansions

Requirement:

  • 1+years' experience environmental compliance and working with provincial stewardship programs
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian E-Waste and recycling regulations
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate them into operational requirements
  • Strong management and project management skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, Law, or related field

Nice to Have:

Experience with multi-jurisdictional compliance

Exposure to other EPR categories (batteries, packaging)
