Governance & Sustainability Coordinator Role

Position Summary

Fnyx Group is seeking a motivated recent graduate or early-career professional to join our Governance team as a Governance & Sustainability Coordinator.

This position supports the development and implementation of corporate governance initiatives, policies, sustainability programs, compliance activities, and continuous improvement projects that enhance operational excellence and strengthen Fnyx's competitive position in client proposals and RFPs.

Working collaboratively across departments, the successful candidate will help maintain governance documentation, coordinate sustainability assessments, support policy development, and contribute to strategic initiatives that improve business performance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in reviewing and updating corporate policies and procedures through coordinating with department leaders/Policy Committee
  • Assist in developing governance frameworks and best practices
  • Support internal compliance initiatives
  • Support internal and external communications initiatives that promote Fnyx's brand, culture, and strategic priorities.
  • Act as a liaison between senior leadership and employees to communicate key initiatives, organizational updates, and company messaging.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining internal communication materials, including newsletters, announcements, presentations, and intranet content.
  • Serve as an active member of the Social Committee by planning and coordinating employee appreciation events, celebrations, fundraising initiatives, and community engagement activities (e.g., holiday events, company launches, International Women's Day, wellness initiatives, and charitable campaigns).
  • Review and update ESG related KPIs, Policies, and Procedures
  • Coordinate EcoVadis assessments and supporting documentation
  • Support sustainability reporting and client ESG questionnaires
  • Track environmental, social, and governance performance metrics
  • Research industry best practices and emerging ESG trends
  • Assist in developing sustainability goals and initiatives
  • Support carbon reduction and waste diversion initiatives
  • Collect operational data for sustainability reporting
  • Assist with responses to sustainability sections of RFPs
  • Maintain repository of corporate certifications and governance documentation
  • Prepare supporting documentation for client audits
  • Assist with supplier sustainability questionnaires
  • Research client ESG expectations and market trends

Qualifications

Degree or diploma in:

  • Sustainability
  • Business Administration
  • Commerce
  • Political Science
  • Environmental Management
  • Corporate Communications

Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent organization and time management
  • Ability to interpret policies and standards
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SharePoint or Microsoft 365 is an asset
  • Familiarity with ESG frameworks, EcoVadis, ISO standards, or corporate governance
